Credentials/Background:
My ABD Master of Art in anti-oppressive educational methodology. This means I've learned how to center relationships, construct action plans, and facilitate individual and team learning environments in a way that honors lived experiences while trying to disrupt the status quo.
My graduate certificate is a Specialization in Human Rights History. This means I've sought out a variety of perspectives. analyzed systemic and individual interactions with oppression, and learned to center joy.
In my studies and lived experience, I have also gained insights into psychology/neuroscience, artificial intelligence, politics, economics, and physics. This means I've interacted with the cutting edges of multiple disciplines and developed my own hypotheses and frameworks. As an example, I investigate the connections between interoception, proprioception, and visual/spatial synesthesia.
My Approach is Founded on Five Value Sets:
1) Awareness of Self, Others, and Context:
My coaching method approaches are based on modified cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based principles. These promote self-awareness, empathy, and contextual understanding, which assists clients in overcoming obstacles and achieving personal goals. Using positive psychology, I encourage the development of supportive and nonjudgmental relationships and environments.

2) Compassion, Empathy/Sympathy, and Honoring Lived Experiences
I seek to nurture emotional exploration through positive psychology and mindfulness-based coaching to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment, This is paired with strong ethics and integrity- which encourage trust and transparency. This allows clients to get comfy and delve into their emotions and experiences with security.

This methodology upholds respect, honesty, and professionalism, ensuring trust and credibility in the coaching relationship.
3) Mutual Aid and Collaboration:
In collaboration, I emphasize the importance of partnership for success and encourage clients to work with existing relationships or develop new networks that can be drawn on during resolution-focused times.

4) Intersectional Liberation:
I address the unique challenges faced by individuals based on their intersecting identities by integrating solution-focused coaching and positive psychology. This emphasizes the importance of leveraging existing strengths and resources for personal growth.

5) Abolition and Decolonization:
I use modified versions of cognitive-behavioral and narrative coaching to assist clients in acknowledging and accepting their lived experiences. We follow up using "disruptive design"-based reframing to dismantle oppressive thought patterns. This supports clients in reclaiming their narratives.

Conclusion?
This integrated approach incorporates core human rights principles with a diverse array of counseling modalities to encourage transformative personal growth and self-discovery while addressing systemic barriers and fostering social consciousness. My methodology aims to empower clients to live authentic and purposeful lives by offering an all-encompassing, personable, and socially conscious coaching experience.

Personal DEAI Statement
I am inspired by the wisdom and resilience of people who make "good trouble." At the core of my practice, I believe in the transformative power of empathy, education, and empowerment to dismantle systems of oppression and foster inclusive environments where every individual can thrive.
I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion across all facets of society, with the understanding that these principles are not only morally right but also essential to creating a just and prosperous world. "We have nothing to lose but our chains" (Shakur).

Drake Burke- Core Identities

Drawing from the teachings of change-makers, I aim to help individuals and organizations understand the complex and interconnected nature of systemic injustice, and to develop strategies for addressing these issues in meaningful ways. By challenging dominating narratives and advocating for marginalized voices, we can work together to create a more equitable future for all.
In my work, I prioritize self-reflection and active listening, recognizing that each person's experience and perspective is unique and valuable. By creating spaces for dialogue and collaboration, I hope to inspire collective action and solidarity among those seeking to enact positive change. My methodology in particular draws from "Disruptive Design" and modified narrative methodologies- or reclamation frameworks.

As we embark on this journey towards a more inclusive and just society, I believe the only way in which we can do so is by embracing authenticity. If something is not within my lived experiences- I may not be able to empathize- but I can sympathize. And from there- we can collaborate on making plans of action to strategize for the future and accept the past enough to make use of it- if not celebrate the joys of it.
~I look forward to partnering with you in the pursuit of a better world- one conversation at a time.
